Thank you for your interest in our school. We are delighted to share our school community with you, and our website is a great place to start to explore all that SHIM OAUTHC offers.

We are on a mission to train and produce highly competent Health Information Management Practitioners whose impact on nation’s health care delivery service shall be classical and legendary.

We seek to establish a culture of excellence in education, training and research for professional growth and all-round development for information and health practitioners.

Admission process

Application into the school programmes is made through the school approved application form. Thereafter, candidates are expected to sit for the entrance examination as well as an entrance interview on specific dates announced by the school.

Successful candidates are thus communicated on their success and admission after fulfilling the basic entry requirements

The application form is purchased after payments of the prescribed fee and payment is paid to remita. The candidate is issued with the application form in exchange for the payment receipt at the school admission office.

SHIM OAUTHC AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES

The school programmes is a four semester (2 years) full time terminal programme in the following categories.

National Diploma (ND)
Entry qualification at the ND level is five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, with not more than two sittings.
A Year Clinical Attachment
Clinical Attachment requires an evidence of the completion of the mandatory one-year clinical attachment, that is, Industrial Training.
Higher National Diploma (HND)
At the HND level, an evidence of completion of the ND in Health Information Management not below Lower Credit

Admission to SHIM in Progress

All suitable candidates are invited for admission into the HND and OND programs. Kindly read the following instructions to apply:

Admission Requirement For OND Program

5 credit passes in Sciences including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB. A minimum score of 120 in JAMB is also required.

Admission Requirement for HND Program

In addition to 5 credit passes in Science courses: Minimum of lower credit in National Diploma in Health Information Management with evidence of completion of one year industrial attachment in a reputable health institution.

Entrance Examination and Interview Date

Entrance examination begins on the 25th of September, 2024.

Entrance interview begins on the 26th of September, 2024.
